The Windsor Park Neighborhood Association’s Climate Committee is calling on neighbors with a little extra heart (and a bucket) to become tree parents
We currently have 15 baby saplings planted along Blanton Drive, and they need some love and attention to grow healthy and strong. Young trees are especially vulnerable in their first years, and regular watering makes a huge difference in whether they thrive or struggle.
f you’re interested in becoming a tree parent, go over to Blanton Drive and take the tag on the tree or trees that you want to adopt. Email the numbers on the tag to Martin@windsorpark.info so he knows what trees you’ve adopted.
What we’re asking is simple and powerful:
- Help provide about 5 gallons of water per week to one or more of these saplings
- Watering should be done on a regular basis to support the trees as they establish roots
Tree parents play a critical role in building a cooler, greener, and more resilient Windsor Park. These saplings will one day provide shade, reduce heat, improve air quality, and make our streets more beautiful—but right now, they need neighbors to help them get there.
If you live near Blanton Drive or are willing to make a short trip, this is an easy, hands-on way to make a lasting impact in our neighborhood. A few minutes of care today will pay off in decades of benefits for our community.

Let’s help these baby trees put down strong roots and grow right alongside our neighborhood.
