May Bike Bash for Kids – May – 23

Windsor Park Bike Bash!

A fun ride for kids and parents through the neighborhood, followed by a pizza party! Come learn about bike safety in your community, then explore some roads, parks, and bike routes together. We’ll cover proper helmet fitting, ABCD-quick checks, scanning for traffic, and verbal/hand signals for safe group riding. Then we ride!

Bring a helmet, bike, and water bottle. And don’t worry, we’ll take plenty of breaks to catch our breath and stay hydrated. Will there be a one-handed bike-riding-pizza-eating challenge when we get back to Bartholomew? Maybe!

Note: All families will need to sign a participation waiver, and youth under 14 should be accompanied by a parent on the ride. 

The Windsor Park Bike Bash is funded by Get There ATX, an initiative of the City of Austin Transportation & Public Works Department that encourages Austinites of all ages to access their world by bike, train, and bus.
