In early July, WPNA celebrated the long-awaited opening of Pomerleau Park at 1906 Patton Lane.

We appreciate the foresight of Austin Parks and Recreation’s decision to acquire the 1.9 acre plot about twelve years ago using bond money designated for parkland acquisition. Melana Pomerleau-Peterson had lived and gardened on the space for twenty years and offered it to the city of Austin if they would create a park and name it in honor of her father Earl J Pomerleau.
