In honor of Earth Month, WPNA will focus on local and global efforts to create a greener, healthier neighborhood. We hope you will come to the meeting and share your strategies in your personal lives to heal the planet. See list of things to bring at bottom

Please bring and share your ideas and actions:

  1. What specific actions / changes have you made in your lives / household to lessen our impact on the climate? Post your ideas on butcher paper to share. ADDITIONAL:   Plastics Free July is coming up in July.   What are your strategies to reduce (or aspirationaly, eliminate)  plastic. It’s everywhere!
  2. Enter to win a $50.00 HEB gift card when you arrive at the meeting on foot, by bike, bus, scooter, EV or hybrid. All current members and those who join on April 13 will be eligible for the drawing.
  3. Contribute plants to share at the Plant Share table.
  4. Contribute extra harvest (herbs to kale) from your back or front yard garden.
  5. Contribute surplus plant or vegetable starts.  
  6. Bring gently used running shoes to be recycled. 
  7. Scout those shadeless streets near you and bring names of street to prepare for tree planting / care initiative in the fall of 2024.
  8. Bring hard to recycle clean styrofoam and add it to the big orange Ridwell bag that will be available. Information and free month of Ridwell available.
  9. NEW: bring your eclipse glasses to recycle with Astronomers Without Borders

I know. That’s a lot to transport on your bike, but your ideas can be stored in your brain!
